Hello and welcome to the Old School Carpentry Company. We are an independant company based in a beautiful Old School House in West Wales. The company was founded by Rory who has come from a background of historical restoration, and who is passionate about creating functional, timeless designs.
We produce a range of wooden products large and small, ranging from kitchen furniture to chopping boards. Our timber is British where possible and sourced from the surrounding Counties using sustainable sources. We also use reclaimed timber in many of our products, which gives a unique vintage feel to our designs.
This seat was inspired by our local fishing village of Solva. The elegant curved back is influenced by traditional dingy design.
The photos shown are of an outdoor version of the seat, which uses durable red cedar wood, this timber does not require treatment or varnish and will silver over time. The cushion is covered with marine grade waterproof canvas.
This piece can also be made for indoor use. Made to order to your specifications.
