Rory Bernays rebuilt this barn for me in 2005. It was a major undertaking as the whole skeleton had to be lifted 14inches. He did this with great skill and organisation, it all went like clockwork and the end result is superb.

Rory was commissioned to build a staircase for the conversion of Bangeston Farmhouse. I gave him a vague idea of how i wanted it and he created a masterpiece! The recycled hardwood pallets were painstakingly nailed, planed and glued to form the material needed. Rory then with great patience turned these pieces of timber into the most beautiful staircase. Thank you they really are rather special.

Rory was also instrumental in building the timber structure of Bangeston barn. He came to the site and created the gorgeous Oak A frames that form the main roof structure. He also using recycled floor joists created a fantastic crog loft. Many Thanks once again.

We commissioned Rory to create a bespoke deck covering our small garden, having seen his work on the internet. From the vague brief we gave, Rory designed and built a deck on 2 levels, incorporating seating & raised beds. Throughout the process he discussed design elements with us & adapted the deck to suit our family's needs. We couldn't be happier with the result. It is infinitely superior to the identikit decking widely available, the overall cost was very comparable, & far less maintenance is required. Our house and garden now flow seamlessly. The rough-sawn cedar of varying widths gives a bespoke, rustic feel that is carried off by the attention to detail. Rory created a mezzanine sleeping floor with compact staircase, designed especially to fit within a small space. The end result was stunning; a functional, useful sleeping area in a contemporary, clean design. Rory crafted the wood to fit the space perfectly.
