Getting ready!
Rory Bernays
So our first ever blog!
We're working hard at the moment, we being Rory who designs, sources and creates all of our products, and me, Ruth, his long standing wife (well not that long standing! our first wedding anniversary is fast approaching).
Preparations for the BBC good food show are well underway. This is the first time we are taking on an event of this scale. For this the focus is on food preparation and kitchen furniture. So it's chopping boards, kitchen islands, and kitchen tables.
Chopping boards: we all need them! But what do you want from a chopping board?
Functionality, ease of use, design, quality, long life...I want all these things from my boards, and from everything I buy for my home, but does providence come into it. Do you care where the wood used to make a board comes from?
Rory is creating a few different styles, and has some very special boards which are very thick rustic Oak. This Oak came from a local specialist timber merchant. It came from trees that fell down in a big storm in 1952 on Stackpole Home Farm. Now that's pretty special. I look forward to the finished results!
Here's a sneak peak at some of the goodies!
